hmm, not so sure about this now I'm here. A friend of mine... an old friend, we've just made contact again through Facebook (wonderful creation!) which has been great.... anyway... she blogs. I was reading hers and she's basically just got a diary of her days with her husband, I think he blogs too, and her kids, Big and Small. I really liked it and I'll keep reading cuz I'm nosey.... no! I mean it's interesting!!

I'm presuming her kids have real names too because Big is a girl and small is a boy. At some point, presumably, Small will grow bigger than Big and that will just be confusing won't it?! I mean, would they swap names??

I thought my blog could be a bit of a diary at the moment... well, I know that's what a blog is but I kind of wanted to write down what's happening at the moment. I keep thinking of writing it down in a book but I don't get round to that and I'm much better at beign at my computer.

Right, where to start?! I suppose I already have really haven't I?! I'm 34 and I'm a Geordie by birth... I was brought up a Geordie and then *sob* this bloke came and whisked me off my feet... the only problem was that he's a bloody southerner and he's a landscaper so there's no work in the north *sob* so I get to live in sunny Bucks. As my mum says, of you want your grass mowed in Newcastle, you mow the bloody grass!! People here will pay £15 per hour for you to do it for them!! I still think it's pretty funny. To be fair to him, there's a bit more to hubby's job than mowing grass - he does some massive landscaping jobs, not to mention tree work blah blah. Anyway, where was I?! Oh yeah... I came to live in the south... dammit.

I've been here 7 years now and I'm getting slowly used to it. It's prety different but it's not all bad. We live in Bucks which is lovely and we're in a little village which is fab. Got hitched a couple of years ago to said whisking bloke and we're settled down with our two dogs, chickens and ducks... oh and I'm 29 weeks pregnant and that's what I was intending to write about, maybe I'll send the link to my mum and then she can read about it rather than listen to me ramble on, poor woman. OK, where was I *wake up*
I'm 29 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling pretty good in the main, I can't wait to meet the baby!!

I do have a slight concern (for slight concern, read major panic) about how we're going to get the baby out mind you but I'm in complete denial and refuse to think about it. The baby is wriggling around a lot now which is really cool. Pete's still only managed to feel it about three times as he keeps missing it! He doesn't seem too worried but then that's him all over.

I was diagnosed with symphysis pubis dysfunction a couple of weeks ago which is a complete bind. It basically means that my hips are relaxing too much and the bones rub together. I don't know too much about the medical side but I can tell you, it bloody hurts!! they've given me a spectacularly sexy bit of tubi grip to wear and I've now got a bandage that goes on top of that. Also, just to make sure that I look like a complete donkey when I go back to work tomorrow, they've given me crutches. Perfect.
I'm REALLY not looking forward to going in tomorrow (on so many levels)

We've been to a friend's BBQ today which was fun. We took the dgos which probably wasn't sensible...
The first thing Bailey did was to wee on the kitchen floor!!!!!!! He's NINE! He does NOT wee inside!! I was suitably embarassed. Nobody else seemed too worried mind you. They proceeded to sit under the food table and tell everyone they were starving, poor things; rush about after the children in search of food (they're labradors btw so it's expected I suppose). One of the kids came up to us and proudly told us they'd fed the dogs their chicken bones. excellent. Then the host of the party gave them boiling hot sausages which they wolfed down and then promptly brought back up onto their hall floor. All in all a perfect outing I think you'd agree! One really cool thing was that I met a girl who has the same due date as me! We're going to keep in touch so that we can panic together - great idea.

We got home and I suddenly remembered we were going to bid on a nursing chair on eBay and forgot to put the darn bid in. We had decided that our maximum would be £300 (they're £400 new) and the bloody thing went for £250. Course it did. Grrrrr

Anyway, that's all for today. I don't think much else has happened... I got an order for three childrens stools which is good. Check them out at: www.mattesdoncottagecrafts.org.uk
